Welcome to the sensory journey of the Anna Cortina Universe #ArtMeetsFashion!

Inspiration spring summer collection 2022:

The new spring summer 2022 collection takes us on a journey through the Anna Cortina #ArtMeetsFashion universe. This collection offers us a long journey around the world that allows us to escape from worries and relax.

This exodus takes us to wonderful places like the Savannah and its giraffes. We also enter the Amazon jungle where we can find parrots with their extraordinary plumage and even dive into the ocean to visit the coral reefs.

All the bags of this trip have been illustrated by Anna Cortina together with the artist Philippe Boonen, we invite you to reset your mind with this collection! We have already spent a long time without being able to travel due to Covid-19. Now it's time to get your hopes up again.

From the Anna Cortina #ArtMeetsFashion team, we hope you enjoy this sensory journey around the world!

First stop - Asia:

Our route begins in Asia, with "Goa". This model kicks off the All Over collection.

Anna Cortina together with the artist Philippe Boonen have illustrated through the Anna Cortina #ArtMeetsFashion universe this bag where she captures the balance from a place like India with all those contrasts of authentic places that this collection evokes with something subtle that we all feel inside. In the centre, we find an elephant symbolising good luck, wisdom and knowledge and a wonderful connection of energy from within in relation to the world. At the foot of the elephant is a ball of the world.

Then, we go into Japan with the bag called "Koi". The colour of this bag is nimbus, showing us a universe that transports us to a Japanese pond.

This canvas transmits calm and tranquillity through the koi, known as oriental carp, which symbolise prosperity, love and good luck. Floating in the pond are the water lilies, an aquatic plant with a lot of symbolism, in Egypt it was associated with eternity, in China it is linked to purity and honesty and in Japan it represents the sacrifice we make during our lives.

Further on, we come across the "Nepal" bag. The ocean transports us to a precise moment, we can observe the majestic feline drinking peacefully. The tiger is one of the strongest and most agile land animals; they are also powerful and energetic. That is why it is considered a protective animal where it will always help us to face any problem we have in our life.

Finally, we finish our visit to Bali with this bag called "Bali" where Anna Cortina together with the artist Philippe Boonen has painted this model in cappuccino that transports us to the island of Bali, a province of Indonesia. The protagonist of this canvas is a Macaque, where we can see that he is on top of a tree with a surprised face. The monkey is a universal emblem in many cultures, during our history it has been associated with joy and cunning, it is also a symbol of great wisdom.

Second stop - Africa:

Next, we head to Africa, more specifically to the Savannah where we locate the bag called "Savannah". Anna Cortina together with the artist Philippe Boonen has illustrated this piece that transports us to the Savannah area, in Tanzania. This creation takes us to a sunny subtropical day where the bird of paradise, a flower that fans out and resembles an exotic bird, surrounds part of the canvas and in the foreground a young giraffe observes us, stretching out its neck to welcome us.

A little later, we moved on to "Kenya". This canvas transports us to the heart of Kenya, in East Africa. This composition is created through intense and contrasting tones, in the background we find a flat-topped acacia tree, from the same bush savannah; and in the foreground a zebra facing us. The zebra symbolises the harmony of life, in many cultures it is considered the personification of calm and prudence. Moreover, being an animal that cannot be domesticated, it is associated with independence.

Kenya Third stop - North America:

So long Africa, hello America!

We are off to North America, where we are transported to the area of Tamaulipas, Mexico. This painting is composed through leaves known as Adam's Ribs or Monstera Deliciosa that when they open and grow reminds us of ribs, in addition, between the leaves and around the bag we find a red and black coral, a snake, we can find it in the rainforest and tropical and subtropical jungle areas. This bag is called "Mexico".

"Central Park" is another of our favourite places that takes us to an orange garden. This creation takes us to a sunny day in a picnic area surrounded by orange trees where families of squirrels hop from branch to branch. Oranges symbolise perfection as they are round and refer to the cycle of life and also represent prosperity.

Further on, we find "Costa Rica". It takes us on a trip to Costa Rica, Central America. This creation takes us on a trip to the tropical forests of the Caribbean area, where we can observe the vines and Adam's ribs. Posing on the branch we find a toucan in profile with a yellow chest and an elongated beak with a lot of colours. Toucans represent love, happiness and the soul. They are considered symbols of prosperity and development.

Finally, we find "GREAT REEF". This metallic orange model immerses us in the seas and oceans of our blue planet. In this canvas we find small blue fish visiting a red coral, living in symbiosis. Marine corals are mostly colonial invertebrate animals that can reach great dimensions; especially in tropical waters and reefs, the best known and the largest is the Great Barrier Reef, which is found in Australia, however, one of the best known is in Mexico; Palancar Reef.

Fourth stop - South America:

Next we find ourselves a little further down, in "Brazil" with this coral canvas that takes us to a sunset to the Amazon area, Brazil. The model is constructed through warm tones that take us to the tropics as if we had climbed a tree. In the background we can see some tropical palm trees that extend around the piece until we reach the foreground where a Scarlet Macaw observes us in its greatest splendour.

Then we go to the Amazon region of Colombia, where "AMAZONA" takes place. This metallic green canvas transports us to the Amazon region of Colombia. The bag is constructed through warm and cold tones that adventure us to the same sub tropics. The red-eyed green frog, its scientific name is Agalychnis callidryas, speaks for itself, perched on the bag, its colours allow it to camouflage itself, to adapt better to its natural habitat.

Fifth and final stop - Europe:

We have reached our continent!

We head to Turkey with "Cappadocia". This piece is so called because it transports us to the area of Cappadocia, Turkey, known for its characteristic "fairy chimneys". This model is composed through pomegranates, an exotic fruit known by the myth of Persephone, where it refers to the cyclical times and linked to eternity. In addition, one of the surprise elements of this model is a small lizard that also refers to resurrection and fortune.

Later, "Greece", takes us on a journey to the area of Athens, Greece. This creation is delicately composed through the bougainvillea, a flower that expresses a perfect sense of welcome. On one of the flowers a butterfly, known as the blue morpho, peeps out, referring to a legend where the moral is based on the fact that we are each masters of our actions and our decisions.

Further on, we find "LIMONCELLO". This piece transports us to the island of Sicily, Italy, known for its lemon groves, and from here comes the drink known as Limoncello. This model is composed through a lemon tree, which shows us its fruit; the lemon and its flowers. A sparrow, a bird known for its intelligence and curiosity, is also watching us out of the corner of its eye.

Finally, the "BEE YOURSELF" bag, whose model is metallic fuchsia, reminds us of gardens when they bloom in spring. We can see how the orchid spreads all over the canvas, where we can even remember its fragrance. In one corner we find a bee, one of the most essential animals on our planet earth, as they pollinate all the plants that give us oxygen, and finally on a spiritual level it refers to order and prosperity, endowed by the power of fire.
